Muscular and lymphatic self-massage

Self-massage is a powerful technique for relieving muscle tension, which is crucial for maintaining a strong immune system and a healthy body. Here's how you can practice self-massage at home:

The importance of muscular self-massage

Muscle self-massage helps to :

- Reduce muscular tension and pain by releasing knots and areas of tension.

- Improve blood circulation to muscles, which can speed up recovery after exercise.

- Increase flexibility by stretching and relaxing muscle fibres.

Self-massage techniques

1. Select the appropriate tool:

- Use your hands, a massage ball (tennis balls do the trick, see our dedicated page), or a foam roller depending on the area to be treated.

2. Basic technique :

- Apply moderate pressure with your fingers, palm or massage tool to the tight muscle for 30 seconds to a minute, without any additional movement.

- Use slow, circular or back-and-forth movements along the muscle.

- Concentrate on the areas of tension for a few minutes, adjusting the pressure to avoid excessive pain.
